PepsiCo Opened On Wednesday, May 4, About 30 Positions For English Course Opportunities And Internship Positions In Cities In Brazil
PepsiCo, one of the largest food multinationals in the world, announced the opening of internship positions and English courses this May. PepsiCo owns brands such as Pepsi, Gatorade, and Elma Chips.
In 2022, the company is looking for 30 interns who will work in the areas of Sales, Legal, Operations, Research and Development, Finance, and Marketing. PepsiCo seeks university students from any major to intern in the cities of São Paulo, Sorocaba, and Itu (SP); Belo Horizonte (MG); Curitiba (PR); Porto Alegre (RS); Petrolina and Cabo de Santo Agostinho (PE).
Prerequisites To Participate
The only condition to participate in the selection of interns and English courses is to be in the last or second to last year of undergraduate studies, with a graduation date expected in July 2023 and/or July 2024, and to be enrolled in any higher education course.
The duration of the internship and the English course can vary from 1 to 2 years, depending on the graduation date of the hired student.
Another point is that, although PepsiCo is an American multinational, it does not require new employees to have advanced skills and knowledge in English, as new employees will have free access to English and other language courses upon joining the company.

After these phases, before the final interview with managers, candidates will also need to participate in a group activity called “Escape Room,” which combines usual recruitment practices with gamification and immersive experience.
According to the website Exame, even though the salary range for the internship positions in question is not disclosed, PepsiCo offers its employees a variety of benefits, including meal vouchers, medical assistance, dental assistance, transportation allowance, birthday day off, flexible hours, pharmacy discounts, and the aforementioned English course, among others.
Commitment To Increase Diversity In The Company
Called “First Gen,” the selection process for internship positions and the English course at PepsiCo for 2022 focuses on accelerating the personal development journey of young people while increasing diversity within the company.
In the last cycle of the internship program, PepsiCo hired about 62% women and 56% people of color. They continue with the goal of hiring at least 50% people of color and 50% women, in line with the company’s objectives and commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, as stated by Fábio Barbagli, Vice President of Human Resources at PepsiCo in Brazil.
In Brazil, the company also aims to have at least 30% people of color in leadership positions and 50% female leadership by 2025.
