Soon, the Gold Star, Lone Star, and Alpha Star Submersibles Will Join the Laguna Star in the Fleet of Units Providing Services to Petrobras
Constellation has just announced that its drillship Laguna Star has started operations for Petrobras. The announcement was made through the company’s official news vehicle this Tuesday afternoon, November 5. Brazil Attracts 93% of Global Revenue from Oil Rounds.
The start of operations for the drillship Laguna Star was scheduled for mid-October, and according to Bassoe Analytics, the daily rate for the contract is approximately US$ 155,000.

The 6th generation drillship was designed to operate in waters with depths of up to 10,000 feet, typical of the pre-salt, with a drilling depth capability of up to 40,000 feet and will be deployed in block BM-S-11 of Petrobras in the Santos Basin.
The drillship was previously under contract with Enauta – formerly known as QGEP – in the Atlanta field, also in the Santos Basin.
“It is with great satisfaction that we announce our drillship Laguna Star has started operations for Petrobras. This moment marks the resumption of our operations for one of the largest operators in ultra-deep waters in the world,” said the company in an official statement.

The company reported being very happy to contribute once again to Petrobras, a partner of many years, and wishes everyone a good and safe return to operations on the Laguna Star.
“Soon, our semi-submersibles Gold Star, Lone Star, and Alpha Star will also join the Laguna Star in the fleet of units providing services to this very important client,” concluded the company, which announced in October the reactivation of the Gold Star Drillship to fulfill contracts with Petrobras scheduled to start next year.
Constellation Starts Drilling Wells on Land in Amazonas
In the state of Amazonas, Constellation’s Sonda VIII began operating its contract with Eneva for the drilling of wells in the Azulão Field, ithe company informed on October 17 of this year.
The expectation is that 1,000 jobs will be generated in Roraima and another 1,000 jobs in Amazonas during this first phase of the project.
