The Expectation Is That 1,000 Jobs Will Be Created In Roraima And Another 1,000 Jobs In Amazonas In This First Phase Of The Project.

In the state of Amazonas, the Sonda VIII from Constellation has begun operating its contract with Eneva for drilling wells in the Azulão Field. The announcement was made on the company’s social media profile this Thursday afternoon, October 17. The company is making a comeback; this month it announced the reactivation of the Sonda Gold Star to fulfill contracts with Petrobras.

The company states, “For us, it is a pleasure to contribute to Eneva’s project for the development and production of gas for power generation by the new thermoelectric plant Jaguatirica II, which will also be installed by Eneva in the municipality of Boa Vista, Roraima”.

Constellation strengthens its presence in the Amazon, where it has been operating since 1987 with emphasis and success in remote operations, having participated in over 200 campaigns involving drilling and intervention in wells, with deep experience in the operational and logistical challenges of the region.

“Two Brazilian companies partnering to increase national energy production” highlights the company.

Eneva Starts Exploration Of Natural Gas That Will Generate 2,000 Jobs

Earlier this month, Eneva began installing equipment for drilling and exploring natural gas in the states of Roraima and Amazonas. The area is located between the municipalities of Silves and Itapiranga, in the Azulão natural gas field.

The natural gas complex in the Azulão field is a project where Techint was contracted to construct the Jaguatirica II thermoelectric plant in Boa Vista, Roraima, which also includes the construction of the natural gas treatment unit, to be built by Eneva, and a liquefaction terminal.

Eneva estimates that 1,000 jobs will be created in Roraima and another 1,000 jobs in Amazonas in this first phase of the project.

“This means an increase in revenue for the municipalities of Silves and Itapiranga, which will also have the right to royalties, just as the State will also be entitled to these royalties and to ICMS collection,” said the governor of Amazonas.
