The solar plant was inaugurated in the municipality of Piratuba, in Santa Catarina, and will produce enough energy to supply 1.500 homes
Last week, the largest solar plant in the state of Santa Catarina and in the entire southern region of Brazil was inaugurated, after about 10 years of planning and execution. As disclosed by the ND+ website, the ND Group is the company responsible for solar power plant, which is located in the municipality of Piratuba, in the midwest of Santa Catarina.
In all, 5.840 solar panels were installed, occupying an area of 40 m² and capable of producing 2,6 MW (megawatts), enough energy to supply 1500 homes. It is expected that the solar plant alone will support the TVs, newspapers, magazines, portals and radios linked to the company.
The total investment for the installation of the solar plant was R$ 14 million
The investment for the construction of the structure was equivalent to the amount of R$ 14 million. Thanks to the solar plant, the ND Group now becomes the first communication conglomerate in Brazil that is 100% self-sustainable in energy, in order to reinforce its mission of being innovative and setting examples in practice.
- Norte Energia: Innovating in Renewable Generation and the Free Energy Market
- Collapse? This country has so much solar energy that it puts the conventional power grid at RISK
- New revolutionary wind turbine promises to generate 400% more energy and displace solar panels by 2024!
- Brazil's largest rooftop solar plant is delivered! It has 6,4 MW of power and 11,3 modules, making the country a reference in renewable energy!
Under this bias, the president of the ND group, Marcello Corrêa Petrelli, notes that the benefits brought by the new solar plant demonstrate the need and opportunity that businessmen and ordinary citizens have on their roof or on their land to produce the energy they consume. . According to him, the generation of energy itself is advantageous for the municipality, for the state of Santa Catarina and for the whole country.
Nexen Energia Solar was Grupo ND's partner company for the project, responsible for providing the photovoltaic structure and installing the most modern technology in the solar energy sector.
Last Tuesday (the 19th), the inauguration brought together at least 18 mayors from municipalities in the west and midwest of Santa Catarina, in addition to state and regional authorities. Nexen Energia Solar, which supplies energy throughout Brazil through XNUMX outgrowers, was the group's partner company, having granted the photovoltaic structure.
According to the president of Nexen, André Schumann, winning the competition with the ND Group was a great challenge, but an enormous pleasure. The executive described the partnership as “very good”, since the company had the opportunity to be exposed to the market with the new solar plant. Schumann states that everything that is most modern in the field of solar energy, which is, for them, a source of pride.
The municipality of Piratuba was selected after analysis of software capable of observing solar radiation over a period of 40 years. The largest plant in distributed generation in the state of Santa Catarina was named after the technology director of the ND Group, Rafael Alexandre Mafra, who was in charge of developing the photovoltaic park.
About the ND Group
The ND Group corresponds to a Brazilian media conglomerate based in the city of Florianópolis, in Santa Catarina. It was created in 2019, when the RIC Group companies from Santa Catarina were split.
Today, the newspaper Notícias do Dia, the name that gave rise to its initials, are part of the group, in addition to 7 TV stations, a magazine and a news portal. There are thus a total of 10 vehicles, which will be fueled by the energy produced from the new solar plant, the largest in the region.
