According to the data released by the companies, the new clean energy plant that will be used by Swift and Seara belongs to Âmbar Energia, part of the J&F group
The companies Swift and Seara, belonging to the JBS group in Brazil, are increasing their consumption of renewable clean energy in their operations, starting to acquire part of the clean energy developed by the Âmbar Saltinho Photovoltaic Plant (UFV), in Saltinho, São Paulo, inaugurated last week. According to the statement, the solar power plant project is owned by Âmbar Energia, a solutions provider in energy from the J&F group.
The Saltinho solar power plant consists of four clean energy plants, totaling 9,408 photovoltaic panels. Together, the plants achieve a capacity of 5,174 kWp, which is equivalent to the energy consumed by 2,800 residences. The clean energy system that will be used by Seara and Swift is expected to prevent the emission of around 12,193 tons of carbon dioxide (CO2) into the atmosphere, which is equivalent to planting 4,000 new trees a month, JBS stated.
“The consumption of clean energy in the operations of Swift and Seara is part of JBS’s efforts to become Net Zero by 2040, that is, to eliminate the net balance of its emissions and offset residual emissions. In this context, Swift aims to achieve the goal of having 100% of its stores powered by clean energy by 2025,” it stated in a note.

Regarding Seara, obtaining clean energy from the Saltinho solar plant aims to reduce its scope 3 emissions through the provision of clean and renewable energy for its integrated operations.
In Addition to Swift and Seara, Clean Energy Produced by the Saltinho Plant Will Be Used by Other Subsidiary Companies
The clean energy developed by the Saltinho plant will also be consumed by the integrated operations of Swift and Seara, in the region of the cities of Amparo and Nuporanga, in the interior of São Paulo. The hope is to bring more sustainability and reduce the energy bill of the facilities by 20%.
The renewable clean energy plant in Saltinho was the first inaugurated by Âmbar and had investments of approximately 23 million reais, as part of a solar energy generation plan that began in 2021.
