The Idea Is to Help Highway Police
This change came through Bill 3.214/2023, by Senator Esperidião Amin (PP-SC), which was approved in July 2023. What this law does, basically, is to bring back those pieces of information that were previously on the old plates, but were set aside with Mercosur. The idea is to help highway police and traffic agents do their job more efficiently.
