Nissan's new car arrives to give work to giants like C3 Aircross and Spin. This is the Nissan Livina 2025, a minivan that has been sold in the Brazilian market before.

The Nissan Livina, a new car that enjoyed some popularity in Brazil in the late 2000s and early 2010s, continues to be successful in the international market, especially in countries like the Philippines. Although its last generation was sold in Brazil until 2014, the Livina never went out of production in other markets, receiving two more generations since then. In addition to the model known to us, the latest generation of Nissan Livina was launched in 2020, the result of a collaboration with Mitsubishi, bringing innovations and maintaining the brand's tradition in the segment.

Check out the details about the new Nissan Livina

The new Livina Minivan platform is a medium car, the same as some other Nissan vehicles that are offered abroad and all of this makes it a very big car. Specifying its dimensions a little, they are 4,51 m long, with a good wheelbase of 2,77 m, 1,78 m wide and 1,70 m high. The weight is quite light, as it is 1 kg and the trunk with five seats holds 225 L while with seven, that is, all seats up, it only accommodates 612 L.

The look is a strong point of the Nissan Livina, which is very beautiful. At the front we have Nissan's famous chrome Vmotion grille, the bumper has several creases and the optical assembly is divided with LED daytime running lights above and main fog lights below.

On the sides, the Japanese car adopts an interesting silhouette, in addition to 16 or 17 inch wheels. Moving to the rear, we have an integrated spoiler, sports bumper and full LED lights.

Nissan Livina 2025 reaches 180 km/h

Inside, Nissan's new car follows the same simplicity that we see in the new C3 Aircross, which is sold here, lacking several things. The finish only features hard plastic, but everything seems to be well assembled, typical of Nissan.

The main highlight of this interior is the internal space, after all, unlike the C3 and Spin, the Nissan Livina can carry seven passengers in comfort. The equipment list is very sparse, with several things missing. We have a simple panel with an on-board computer and the more expensive versions have an in-person key. The air conditioning is also conventional and we have simple multimedia.

In terms of engine, the Nissan Livina offers only one option, in this case the 1.5 four-cylinder aspirated engine, which always runs on gasoline. Unfortunately we only have this set in a car of this size with seven seats.

O new car from Nissan delivers up to 104 horsepower and 14,3 kg of torque, which can be associated with a five-speed manual transmission or an automatic transmission with just 4 speeds. Performance is very poor, needing more than 15 seconds to go from 0 to 100 km/h and, according to the manufacturer, it reaches a maximum speed of 180 km/h.

Could new Nissan car arrive in Brazil?

In terms of safety, the new Nissan Livina only has the basics. We have traction and stability controls, four airbags, disc brakes with ABS at the front and drums at the rear, owing a lot to more modern and even more basic cars. However, enough to compete with Spin and Aircross.

The new Livina 2024 has a look that is indeed very attractive, in addition to the best internal space in this category, but it leaves something to be desired in terms of engine, transmission and also in equipment and if it came here to Brazil, with this engine and gearbox, it would quickly would be canceled by Brazilians, who have become more demanding.
