On September 28, in a meeting at the Lorena City Hall in São Paulo, Mayor Sylvio Ballerini spoke with representatives of ELOPACK, the pallet manufacturer that will open a factory in the municipality.
According to the owner, Danilo Aparecido Tedecshi, and the Sales Manager, Paulo Falcão, activities are expected to begin in November, initially generating 40 job openings, with an expectation of around 150 direct jobs in the city in the future. The company has major clients in the area between São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, and Minas Gerais. Also present were the Secretary of Economic Development, Science, Technology, and Innovation, Ulisses Fucuda, and Councilor Careca da Locadora.

Plascar, an industry involved in the development of parts for automotive vehicles, announced on October 6, during an event held in Caçapava, São Paulo state, the installation of a new factory in the municipality to serve automakers in the Vale do Paraíba. The expectation is that 150 employees will work at the facilities. This is the fourth operational unit of Plascar.
The company, which specializes in the development of parts for automotive vehicles, will serve automakers in the Vale do Paraíba. Present at the announcement ceremony for the new factory’s construction in São Paulo state were the company’s president, Paulo Silvestri, the Mayor, Pétala Lacerda (Cidadania), as well as municipal secretaries and councilors. According to the Caçapava city hall, the new factory will occupy an area of over 22,000 m² and will initially produce bumpers for automobiles. Operations are expected to begin in the first half of 2022.
About 150 job openings are expected to be available at the factory in Caçapava at the start of operations, which will also include laboratories and an area for waste treatment. According to the company, interested individuals can register on the company’s website. Silvestri also stated that the choice of Caçapava municipality was mainly due to factors such as location and logistics, in a region that concentrates a technology hub and skilled labor. He also mentioned that the factory’s facilities will be among the most modern in the country. This will be the fourth operational unit of Plascar, which already has units in Jundiaí (also in São Paulo state), Betim (Minas Gerais), and Varginha (Minas Gerais).
