Company Develops Solar Tiles That Can Fit Any Type of Building or Home, Offering Good Aesthetics and Clean Energy.

Currently, the market for solar tiles presents a solution with great potential that can overcome the challenges of installing solar panels. Freesuns, a company that manufactures these products, offers solar tiles that combine unique aesthetic and technological characteristics. These materials enhance the appearance of any construction, being the only viable alternative in some situations, and provide the possibility to generate solar energy.

The solar energy tiles are designed to fit any type of project or roof, thanks to their customizable design that fills disproportionate and asymmetrical spaces, resulting in complete coverage. A wide variety of colors and materials are available, to preserve the charm of the enterprise where they will be installed.

The founder of Freesuns, John Morello, states he faced a significant personal need when he bought his home in the 1960s: the structure of the property was not compatible with standard solar panels. This inspired John to keep his home modern, even in the energy sector. That’s how the idea for solar tiles with a maximum production capacity of 164 Wp per square meter came about.

Freesuns’ solar tiles are fully customizable according to the demands of each client and the roof of their home, providing unique advantages, such as the chance to make your home self-sufficient when used in conjunction with an energy storage battery to ensure energy demand during periods of lower solar energy production.

Freesuns recommends installing its roofs to achieve a zero electricity bill and reduce impacts on the environment. While somewhat more expensive than common options on the market, its investment is fully reimbursed in a period of 10 to 15 years.

What Would Be the Main Differentiator of These New Solar Tiles?

One aspect to consider is that standard solar panels have superior maximum performance. However, solar tiles win, by a large margin, in terms of aesthetics and installation compatibility. It is always recommended to choose the most efficient mechanism when conditions allow for it. In summary, the new solar tiles are the ideal solution for historic buildings, where aesthetics must be preserved, or properties with unique characteristics.

The goal is to increasingly retain better options for savings and the use of solar or other renewable energy accessible to everyone. Moreover, it also offers the perfect solution between efficiency and aesthetics. Although conventional solar tiles have higher performance, with technological advancements, this product should offer equal or superior numbers in the future.

Solar Energy Tile with the Appearance of Traditional Clay Models

As previously mentioned, several solar panels have designs that do not fit some residences. Thus, Dyaqua has developed a new tile that can be a great solution to equip historic buildings, such as churches, which typically consume a lot of energy due to their aging architecture.

This is one of the few solar energy technologies capable of harnessing clean and renewable energy without compromising the beauty of historic buildings and landscapes. Each tile from Dyaqua features tiny photovoltaic cells developed from a polymer compound that mimics construction materials.

The invisible model has all the advantages of a solar panel but without the visual inconvenience. In simple terms, the photovoltaic cells are almost invisible to the naked eye. After starting the production of its innovative technology, the company emphasizes that it is difficult to meet the high demand.
