The New 2023 Honda Accord Has Been Announced, Featuring a Turbocharged I-4 Gas Engine Paired with a CVT Automatic Transmission.
While the others (Sport, EX-L, Sport-L, and Touring) are just hybrids, using an updated gas-electric combination to provide 204 horsepower and 247 lb-ft of torque, the new 2023 Honda Accord arrives to compete head-on with the competition in the electric vehicle market, where more and more consumers are looking at cars that use clean energy for driving.
Versions and Prices of the New 2023 Honda Accord
Moving to the hybrid versions, almost all of them carry the names of last year’s hybrid offerings of the new 2023 Honda Accord (and you know, their gasoline-only versions are gone). This means the top trims Sport, EX-L, and Touring, along with a new intermediate Sport-L model that includes some thematic updates for the non-L Accord Sports for 2023.
The new 2023 Honda Accord LX starts at $28,390 ($585 more than the 2022 model) and includes a 7.0-inch touchscreen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 10.2-inch digital instrument panel, LED headlights, and 17-inch aluminum wheels. Honda Sensing, Honda’s active safety suite, is standard and includes adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist, lane departure warning, and automatic emergency braking.

Step up to the new 2023 Honda Accord EX at $30,705 with a sunroof, dual-zone automatic climate control, an eight-speaker audio system, gray 17-inch wheels, and a 10-way power driver’s seat. We should point out here that the cheapest Toyota Camry, the Accord’s arch-rival, starts at just $27,315; when equipped, the Honda is a bit more expensive.
With the disappearance of last year’s gasoline-powered Accord Sport, EX-L, and Touring, you would expect prices to rise for their new pure hybrid variants in 2023 – but that has not happened. The 2023 Accord Sport is priced at $32,990, just $825 more than last year’s Accord Sport Hybrid.
By 2023, the Sport will feature a larger central touchscreen measuring 12.3 inches, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capability, black-painted 19-inch wheels, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob. Similarly, the cheaper Camry Hybrid costs much less, although Honda does not offer a base product directly; a Camry Hybrid SE that is closer to this cooler-looking Sport still costs almost $2,000 less.
