The CDI Approved, in Its Latest Meeting, the Tax Incentive for the Acquisition of Special Alloy Carbon Steel Pipes for the Construction of 25 Kilometers of the Gas Pipeline Connecting the Eneva LNG Terminal to the TAG Transportation Network. The Decision Was Made Aiming to Boost the Economic Development of the Region.
The incentive project for acquiring materials for the construction of the Eneva gas pipeline will reduce costs and the investment value, resulting in a more competitive transportation tariff, in addition to favoring the attraction of operations to its terminal. Spiecapag Intech Engenharia is conducting the construction work in the municipality of Barra dos Coqueiros. The project involves the manufacture and delivery of approximately 2,400 pipes, each 12 meters long and 24 inches in diameter.
The Natural Gas Supply Project (PSDI) is an initiative of the State Government to expand the natural gas market and increase Brazilian access to this important energy source. The project was implemented under the leadership of the Secretary of Sedetec and Vice President of the CDI, Valmor Barbosa, who emphasizes the importance of state management for the success of this initiative.
The FRSU Nanook Terminal and the Porto de Sergipe I Thermal Power Plant (UTE) are important infrastructure projects for the Northeast region of Brazil. The terminal has a regasification capacity of 21 million m³/day, while the UTE consumes 6 million m³/day.

The interlinking gas pipeline will be 25 kilometers long and will connect the municipalities of Barra dos Coqueiros, Santo Amaro das Brotas, and Rosário do Catete. The project anticipates that the gas pipeline will be in full commercial operation by April 2024.

Federal Deputy and elected Senator Laércio Oliveira, PP, believes that the State of Sergipe will experience a new moment due to investments in the oil and gas sectors. He has been working to attract new investments to the state through events like Sergipe Day and proposing bills to expand the state’s borders for investors.
Additionally, Laércio is also seeking to extend the deadline for the incentives offered by the Sergipe Industrial Development Program (PSDI) by another 10 years, allowing new ventures to be promoted.
