Company Recruits Women Who Embark to Better Understand Their Experiences at Sea
Rio de Janeiro, April 20, 2021 – Ocyan commissioned the Ipsos Institute to conduct a study to understand the perceptions of women working offshore in Brazil. The research aims to better understand the experiences aboard various companies, what their expectations and professional aspirations are. The results will be shared with the entire sector to contribute to the construction of a more diverse, psychologically safe environment and to attract more women to this industry.
“Our goal is to provide full transparency to the data to collectively open pathways for attracting new professionals and improving the experiences of each one of them through an effective action plan. Listening to those who experience working in the offshore environment makes all the difference in building a better, safer, and more diverse workplace. The company has already been working to enhance the diversity of its offshore team. We believe this movement will be stronger if we can influence the entire sector,” explains Bruna Fonseca, Human Resources Manager at Ocyan.
The transparency and collective spirit around the theme are at the forefront of the research, and the results will be widely publicized externally and can be shared with interested companies. “The Ipsos Institute will ensure the impartiality and confidentiality of all information obtained from the women interviewed,” the executive points out.
