Company recruits women who embark to learn more about their experiences on the high seas
Rio de Janeiro, April 20, 2021 – Ocyan commissioned a study from the Ipsos Institute to learn about the perceptions of women who work offshore in Brazil. The research seeks to better understand the experiences on board in the most different companies, what are their expectations and professional aspirations. The results will be disseminated to the entire sector to contribute to building a more diverse, psychologically safe environment and to attract more women to this industry.
“Our goal is to provide full transparency to the data so that, collectively, we can open paths to attract new professionals and improve the experiences of each one of them through an effective action plan. Listening to those who live the experience of working in the offshore environment makes all the difference in building an increasingly better, even safer and more diverse workplace. The company has already been working on this quest to expand the diversity of its workforce offshore. We think that this movement will be more robust if we manage to influence the entire sector”, explains Bruna Fonseca, Human Resources manager at Ocyan.
Transparency and the collective spirit around the theme are at the forefront of the survey and the results will be widely disseminated externally and can be shared with interested companies. “The Ipsos Institute will guarantee the impartiality and confidentiality of all information obtained by the women interviewed”, points out the executive.
