Several companies have been working hard to find cheap, practical, and electric solutions for a variety of delivery services. Last month, Voltz and iFood announced the arrival of an electric motorcycle aimed at delivery app workers, costing little while delivering excellent performance. Now, it’s MIMO’s turn to present a scooter, also electric, designed for short-distance deliveries and practicality. When discharged, the MIMO C1 transforms into a hand truck.

The MIMO scooter, named C1, is not revolutionary in its technologies, but that is unnecessary considering what it offers.

Its electric motor is powered by a Samsung battery, which can be replaced like a remote control car battery and provides only 25 km of autonomy, making the C1 an ideal electric scooter for deliveries near the commercial establishment or even for internal use in large industries.

The maximum speed does not exceed 25 km/h, and the company, headquartered in Singapore, emphasizes that in countries where the speed limit is lower, a limiter can be installed.

Its maximum speed is nowhere near the Segway-Ninebot model, the Kick Scooters GT2, which can reach 70 km/h, going from 0 to 50 km/h in the same time as the newly launched Renault Kwid E-Tech (electric).

Electric Scooter Weighs 17 kg but Can Carry 190 kg

The MIMO C1 can carry a rider of up to 120 kg alongside a load of 70 kg. One of the quite interesting details of the scooter is that if the battery runs out halfway (which is entirely possible since autonomy is not one of the C1’s strengths), it can turn into a type of hand truck that the rider can push easily, even in offices. This transition, according to the manufacturer, can be done in three seconds.

According to the manufacturer, the electric scooter has a distance of 1 meter between the wheels and weighs only 17 kg. The model features two headlights at the front and another at the rear. The brake is a disc brake and is positioned only on the rear wheel.

German Company Develops Electric Tricycle

The German company Bayk created a concept called City Cruiser, a taxi that uses pedals. Referred to by the company as a velotaxi, it can be a great option for those looking to save money and contribute to sustainability.

The electric tricycle can transport up to two passengers and was created to meet the significant needs for electric mobility in major urban centers, especially in Europe. According to the company, the vehicle does not use any fuel and is already present in 120 cities worldwide.

In all configurations, the model can reach a maximum speed of up to 25 km/h, with a 250-watt motor, delivering up to 10 kgfm of torque. The speed is limited by software, meaning it can exceed the company’s suggested margin, but doing so may cause damage to the vehicle’s components, which do not use fuel. The German company claims that the tricycle can travel 80 km on a single charge.
