The signing of the Integrated Natural Gas Flow System contracts from the Campos Basin (SIE-BC) and access to the Cabiúnas Gas Treatment Unit (UTGCAB) is another important step for Petrobras in partnership with Equinor Energy do Brasil Ltda. for the development of the natural gas sector in Brazil. Starting from 01/01/2024, Equinor will be able to flow natural gas from the Roncador field, increasing production in the Campos Basin, where Petrobras is the operator and holds the majority share.
With the signing of these contracts, Petrobras reinforces its commitment to diversifying agents across all links in the natural gas chain, ensuring negotiated access to infrastructures as provided in the Gas Law. Additionally, the company highlights the importance of strategic partnerships for the sector’s development, consolidating its position as a leading company in the natural gas market.
