Reference in the Segment, the Fiat Strada 2025 Maintains Its Position as the Best-Selling Light Vehicle in Brazil. The Model Combines Tradition, Low Maintenance Costs, and Multiple Versions, Serving Both Companies and Urban Consumers. Discover the Reasons for Its Success.
The Fiat Strada 2025 has confirmed, for the fourth consecutive year, its position as the best-selling light vehicle in the country, with nearly 145,000 units registered in 2024.
This significant leadership, consolidated through a strategy of multiple versions, competitive prices, and mechanical robustness, positions the Fiat compact pickup as the favorite for a fifth consecutive year in sales in 2025.
According to a report by journalist Jady Peroni, aired on the Autoesporte channel on YouTube, the model continues to lead the competition and expands its customer base, attracting both fleet operators and rural producers as well as urban families seeking versatility.

Evolution of the Model and Customer Profile
As highlighted by Jady Peroni, the Strada’s journey began in 1998, based on the Palio platform, and was solidified after a complete overhaul in 2020, when it adopted the structural base of the Mobi.
This transformation brought advancements in safety, weight reduction, and increased rigidity, making the model more appealing to different consumer profiles.
According to data from the National Federation of Automotive Vehicle Distribution (Fenabrave), the Fiat compact pickup accounts for over 20% of sales in the segment, a result that reflects public confidence and recognition of its versatility.
Fiat Strada 2025 Versions and Advantages for Companies
The range of the Fiat Strada 2025 includes seven configurations, ranging from the Endurance Cabine Plus 1.3 manual, with a suggested price of R$ 103,990, to the Ultra Turbo 200 Double Cab CVT, priced at R$ 137,990 in June 2025.
As reported by Jady Peroni, discounts for direct sales to companies, fleet operators, and rural producers can reach up to 15%, making the model particularly competitive for the corporate sector.
This policy contributes to nearly half of the registrations being directed to legal entities, strengthening the presence of the Fiat compact pickup in professional fleets across Brazil.
Load Capacity of the Fiat Strada 2025
As presented in the report, the bed is one of the main attractions of the Fiat Strada 2025.
In the double cab version, it offers 844 liters of volume and a load capacity of 650 kg, surpassing direct competitors like the Volkswagen Saveiro.
In the single cab, the space increases to 1,354 liters and 750 kg of load.
The bed cover can support up to 400 kg, allowing for the transport of heavy items, and the bed liner is included from the base version.
Features such as a cargo cover and roll bar are available starting from the Freedom configuration, enhancing safety and practicality for daily use.
Engine, Performance, and Fuel Consumption
The lineup offers two flex engine options: the 1.3 Firefly aspirated engine, with 107 hp and 13.4 kgfm of torque, available with a five-speed manual transmission or, in the Volcano version, with CVT; and the 1.0 Turbo 200 engine, with 130 hp and 20.4 kgfm, always coupled to the seven-speed simulated CVT, exclusive to the Ranch and Ultra versions.
According to the Brazilian Vehicle Labeling Program (PBEV), the Strada 1.3 manual achieves up to 14.7 km/l of gasoline on the highway, while the Turbo version reaches 13.2 km/l, results considered competitive in the segment.
The model also features the “TC+” system in all versions, an electronic differential locking system that facilitates driving on slippery surfaces, as noted by Jady Peroni.
Equipment, Comfort, and Safety
The Autoesporte report highlighted that the Strada Ranch includes features such as full-LED headlights, 16-inch mixed-use wheels, digital air conditioning, a 7-inch multimedia center with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, wireless charger, and brown leather seats.
All configurations offer stability control, hill start assist, and, starting from the Freedom version, four airbags.
Among the criticisms, the absence of steering wheel depth adjustment and the lack of cruise control, even in the most complete versions, remain.
Maintenance, After-Sales, and Cost-Effectiveness
Jady Peroni also emphasized that the low maintenance cost is another differential of the Fiat Strada 2025.
The first three services total just over R$ 2,300, according to a survey by Autoesporte, a value lower than that of many compact hatchbacks on the market.
The Fiat network covers more than 530 municipalities, making it easier to access parts and services, especially for small business owners who cannot afford to keep their vehicles out of service for long.
Direct Sales Strategy and Domestic Production
The journalist explained that Fiat’s good relationship with rental companies, energy companies, and the agribusiness sector ensures large-scale orders, boosting production at the Betim (MG) factory and maintaining more stable prices for the end consumer.
This business model helps reduce the utility’s exposure to market fluctuations and enhances the competitive advantage of the Fiat compact pickup.
Competition in the Segment and the Future of the Strada
According to experts consulted by the report, the arrival of re-styled rivals, such as the Volkswagen Saveiro 2025, and electrified models, such as the BYD Sharkino, may increase competition in the segment.
Despite this, the robustness, diversified portfolio, and extensive after-sales service solidify the position of the Fiat Strada 2025 in the lead.
The credibility built over nearly three decades in the market is seen as one of the main factors keeping the model at the top, even in the face of criticisms about rear seat space and the lack of more advanced technologies.
