The Electric Car From German Manufacturer Porsche Has Overcome A Record That Has Long Been Broken By A Conventional Model, Proving That Electric Cars Can Travel Long Distances With Few Stops To Recharge The Vehicle
This week, Porsche registered a record in the world-famous ‘Guinness World Records’ book, after driver Wayne Gerdes – known for holding numerous respected efficiency driving records – used a Porsche Taycan to cross the United States coast to coast. Starting from New York and heading to Los Angeles, Wayne used the least amount of charging time possible for the electric car. The driver managed to cover an incredible 4,561 km with just 2 hours, 26 minutes, and 48 seconds of charging. Before this incredible feat by Wayne, the record registered in Guinness had been established at 7 hours, 10 minutes, and 1 second.

Driver Admits That Porsche Taycan Is the Best Compared to Other Electric Car Models
In explanation, Wayne said that, when comparing the charging performance of the entire range of electric cars he has driven so far, the Porsche Taycan is the most efficient.
He also mentioned that on the first charge of the Taycan, with a 350KW charger model, the battery had a turbo jump from 6% to 82% in just 22 minutes of charging, something that contributed to the trip being much less time-consuming than it should have been.
The Range of Electric Cars Will Not Surpass the Power of Porsche Taycan
Wayne’s great adventure took place over 5 days. However, he still managed to break the record: the total charging time of the Porsche Taycan was 2 hours, 26 minutes, and 48 seconds sharp! No doubt, this story will still make waves in the automotive world.
Wayne expressed pride and surprise at having established this new record. He further stated that the Porsche Taycan performed excellently, being much better than he had expected.
The driver concluded his remarks, after the proof, reaffirming that the performance, comfort, and grip of the Porsche Taycan on the road were truly excellent. For now, no other vehicle in the electric car range will surpass the record set by the incredible Taycan from German Porsche.
The journey of the Porsche Taycan towards the record took five days. However, a significant portion of the time was spent on the demanding certifications and documentation required to establish the foundations of the record.
