Last Friday (18th), at the Port of Paranaguá in Paraná, an area of over 74 thousand square meters called PAR12 was auctioned off, which will be used for exporting vehicles. This area auctioned from the Port of Paranaguá was purchased at auction by Ascensus Gestão e Participações, represented by Itaú’s brokerage, for R$ 25 million.

The area at the Port of Paranaguá in Paraná will be designated for the export of roll-on/roll-off vehicles. The location has a capacity for 4 thousand vehicles and storage for 120 units per year.

At the end of the license contract for the area at the Port of Paranaguá in Paraná, the equipment will be under the State’s custody.
Roll-on/roll-off cargo is specified by loading and unloading on ships by their own means. In such a modality, the estimated demand at the Port of Paranaguá will rise from 287 thousand to 461 thousand vehicles per year between 2021 and 2045.
Port Of Paranaguá Grows In Bus Exports In Recent Years
In recent years, the Port of Paranaguá has seen significant growth in bus exports and has been gaining relevance.
This December, over 150 buses were shipped at once to Boma, located in the Republic of Congo, and Luanda, Angola, thus breaking the record for a single shipment from the Port of Paranaguá.
