PremieRpet Factory Starts Its Production
The location of Porto Amazonas is strategic, as the municipality is close to suppliers of protein and grains and large consumers. Additionally, it has a strong road network and easy access to rail and port areas, presenting favorable conditions to receive imported commodities and help expand the business.
According to Elias Jocid Gomes da Costa, the mayor of Porto Amazonas, the municipality has 5,000 inhabitants, so the jobs generated by the new structure represent about 20% of its population.
PremieRpet’s factory in Paraná begins production after three years of construction, consolidating the most technologically advanced industrial hub in Latin America in the sector. PremieRpet owns brands such as PremieR, Vitta Natural, and Golden. According to the company’s president, Fabio Maluf, with this new operation, the group will double its capacity for dry food production.
Company Invests in Sustainability and Job Creation
With advanced extrusion lines and an exclusive lab with high analytical capacity, it boasts 92,000 square meters of built area and a production capacity of 660,000 tons of dog and cat food per year.
According to Cássio Macedo da Costa, there is a total area of 1 million m². The factory, generating hundreds of jobs, has been developed to achieve LEED Gold certification, the main label awarded to green buildings that meet international standards.
This certification demonstrates that the company met a series of precise requirements in the construction process of the factory: site and transportation, water efficiency, sustainable space, energy and atmosphere, indoor environmental quality, materials and resources, innovative design, and adherence to regional properties.
