Job Opening for Geomechanics Technician

Requirements:

• Geomechanics of underground mines;
• Knowledge of AutoCad;
• Knowledge of Office suite;
• Knowledge in using geological compass;
• Knowledge in performing and quality control of bolts, Swellex, wire rope;
• Driver’s License (category B);
• Proven experience of at least two years in the area;
• Technologist or Technician in Mining or Technician in Geology.

Main Responsibilities:

• Conduct geomechanical and mine ventilation inspections;
• Update the database;
• Issue reports and other pertinent observations;
• Conduct ventilation measurements and geomechanical mapping using methods Q, RMR, GSI, convergence, readings, instrumentation, etc.;
• Perform quality controls such as ramp inspection, support testing, adherence to excavation project designs, cables, bolts, Swellex, screen, shotcrete installed in the mine, etc.;
• Analyze and verify the installation of support and containment elements at the work fronts;
• Feed and update the database of geotechnical and ventilation information;
• Provide instructions and guidance to other areas regarding procedures;
• Preparation of ventilation and containment plans through mapping in AutoCad;
• Perform other tasks of the same nature or complexity associated with your specialty.

Internship Opportunity – Maintenance

Requirements:

• Incomplete higher education (in progress) – Engineering or related fields;
• Intermediate knowledge of Office suite;
• Basic Power BI (desirable);
• Knowledge of Continuous Improvement Tools.

Main Responsibilities:

• Support the Maintenance Planning and Control (PCM) in consolidating its processes, assisting in routine tasks and proposing improvements;
• Support the Maintenance Planning and Control (PCM) in its routines, as well as: assist in consolidating and presenting the indicators (KPI) related to maintenance;
• Analyze the main deviations in KPI and propose corrective and preventive actions;
• Open and close Work Orders (WO) in the maintenance management software (Engeman);
• Make requisitions for materials;
• Assist in managing the control of recovered components;
• Propose improvements in PCM processes;
• Develop reports, dashboards, and spreadsheets for managing PCM processes;
• Participate in weekly programming and extraordinary planning meetings.
