The Project Trained 1,200 Women Working as Electricians, Masons, Carpenters, and Painters – Women in Civil Construction
Finally, the Mão na Massa Project was conceived by civil engineer Deise Gravina, who has always enjoyed getting involved in social projects to help disadvantaged communities. Deise realized that Civil Construction could be a path to professionalize not only men but women as well, believing that both men and women have equal rights.
