The Growth of Online Education
The increase in internet usage in Brazilian states over the past decade has meant that being online has shifted from being a fun pastime to an important part of our daily lives. At the turn of the century, less than half of Brazil’s population had internet access.
The 40% who were online were using slow dial-up connections, making daily use for vital tasks out of the question. A decade later, broadband technology and hardware progressed, and now over 80% of American consumers use the web for entertainment, shopping, research, and even education. The online education sector has seen remarkable growth during the increase in internet penetration over the last decade.
