Transpetro Maintains Selection Process for Temporary Hiring in the Maritime Sector, Gathering Resumes from Certified Mariners and Following Requirements of the Brazilian Maritime Authority.

Transpetro, a subsidiary of Petrobras responsible for the transportation and logistics of fuels and derivatives, maintains a specific selection process for temporary hiring of maritime professionals.

The positions are part of the so-called sea roster and are aimed at exceptional situations where the company needs to quickly reinforce the crews of its vessels.

This format allows compliance with the requirements of the Brazilian Maritime Authority and operational safety regulations.

Although the company’s employees are generally hired through public selection processes, as determined by Article 37 of the Federal Constitution, Transpetro resorts to temporary hiring in specific cases.

In these scenarios, when there are no approved candidates from previous competitions available to fill the roles, the company utilizes the possibility of fixed-term admission, as provided for in internal regulations and aligned with the legislation.

The objective is to ensure the continuity of operations and the integrity of people, assets, and the environment.

By maintaining a permanent database of mariners’ resumes, the company can respond more quickly to emergency demands.

This database allows compliance with the Safety Crew Card and the requirements of the Maritime Authority.

Registered professionals may be called upon as operational needs arise, without this representing a guarantee of immediate hiring.

Temporary Maritime Hiring at Transpetro

Transpetro’s temporary hiring policy is exceptional and does not replace regular public competitions, which continue to be the main route for admission to the company’s permanent roster.

Transpetro opens selection process for temporary positions in the maritime sector. Certified maritime professionals can register their resumes directly on the company’s website.

The purpose of this model is to allow vessels to operate with a full crew, avoiding interruptions in essential activities for the supply of fuels in the country.

This type of hiring is performed for a fixed term, in accordance with the current legislation.

The process also complies with the requirements of the Safety Crew Card.

Thus, Transpetro can maintain safety certification and meet the technical parameters required for the operation of oil tankers, gas carriers, and other vessels in the fleet.

Who Can Apply for Maritime Positions

Maritime professionals certified and registered with the Brazilian Maritime Authority may apply for temporary opportunities in the sea roster.

The company seeks mariners with navigation experience and competence certificates compatible with the desired position.

These documents are issued in models recognized by the Directorate of Ports and Coasts (DPC) of the Brazilian Navy.

Among the required certificates are DPC-1031, aimed mainly at officers, and DPC-1034, which certifies courses and qualifications within the Maritime Professional Education System.

These certificates attest to the professional’s technical qualifications to perform specific onboard functions.

In addition to professional qualifications, candidates must be up to date with civil, electoral, and military documentation, when applicable.

Transpetro also assesses professional history compatible with the responsibilities required in operations involving fuels and chemical products.

The hiring processes aim to meet safety requirements, environmental regulations, and regulatory demands.

Required Documents to Participate

To join the selection process for temporary opportunities, candidates must gather and digitize the required documents.

These include the DPC training certificates model 1031 for officers and 1034 for proof of courses recognized by the Maritime Authority.

These documents must be up to date and within the validity period.

A Logbook Registration and Enrollment (CIR) is also mandatory, which records the maritime professional’s journey.

Completing the document list are the identity card, CPF, Voter Registration, Work Card, Military Service Certificate for those subject to obligation, the International Certificate of Vaccination against Yellow Fever, and proof of residence.

All files must be submitted in PDF format.

This standardization facilitates both analysis and storage in Transpetro’s system.

Selection and Analysis of Maritime Resumes

Submitting the resume and documentation to Transpetro’s system does not imply automatic admission.

The information feeds a database of resumes that is consulted whenever there is a need to reinforce crews or replace professionals.

When there is compatibility between the candidate’s profile and operational demand, the company may invite them for additional stages.

These stages include more detailed documentation analysis, medical exams, certification verification, and other assessments provided for in internal regulations.

The process aims to ensure that the professional is <strong fit to embark safely.

How to Apply for the Selection Process

Registration for temporary opportunities in the sea roster is done entirely online, through a dedicated system of Transpetro available in the careers section of the institutional website.

The professional must first gather all documents, digitize them as PDFs, and fill out the requested data.

It is necessary to attach certificates, CIR, personal documents, voting receipts, military clearance, yellow fever vaccination proof, and residency.

Submitting this material includes the candidate in the resume database used for exceptional hiring. This does not guarantee immediate invitation for boarding, which makes it important to keep the registration updated.
