Controlled by Neoenergia, the board of Neonergia Renováveis ​​approved the construction of solar energy parks in Paraíba

Neonergia Renováveis ​​approved today the construction of solar energy parks Luzia II and II, located in Santa Luzia, in the State of Paraíba. Neonergia reported that BRL 457 million was invested in the project, which will have a capacity of 149,3 MWdc and is expected to start operating in the second half of 2022.

Neoenergia stated that the energy generated will be sold on the free market and 100% will be sold by 2026. 20% will be sold before the end of the project's useful life and will focus on signing a 12-year contract with the telecommunications operator Claro.

The company said "The construction and implementation of the project are fully aligned with the Neoenergia Group's investment policy, as well as with its strategy of growth in renewable energies and of having a position in the liberalization of the Brazilian energy market".
