Ride-hailing drivers in São Paulo have a new opportunity to earn more. By registering specific vehicles and completing 100 rides, drivers can earn up to R$2 in subsidies and enjoy exclusive benefits, such as exemption from traffic restrictions and reduced IPVA.

If you are app driver If you’re looking for ways to increase your earnings, a recent ad could be just what you need. Imagine receiving a significant subsidy simply for using a certain vehicle to get to work.

This opportunity may seem too good to be true, but that is exactly what 99, in partnership with BYD, is offering to drivers in São Paulo.

The proposal is simple: drivers who register a BYD vehicle on the 99 platform and complete 100 trips per month will be rewarded with a subsidy of R$2, distributed in four credits of R$500.

But what makes this offer even more attractive is that it comes with several additional benefits that can make your daily work much more profitable and efficient.

Exclusive benefits for 99 partner drivers

According to information released by the company, this offer is available exclusively to drivers in São Paulo and aims to facilitate the acquisition of BYD vehicles, especially the Dolphin GS 2025, Dolphin Mini 2025, Dolphin Plus 2025 and King 2025 models.

The promotion is valid until August 31st, which means drivers have a limited time to take advantage of these special conditions.

In addition to the financial subsidy, the partnership offers a series of other benefits. Drivers who sign up to the offer will benefit from a reduced service fee of 10% for the first six months, a significant advantage in a market where every penny counts.

Additionally, drivers will have priority in trips in certain neighborhoods and easier access to vehicle charging.

Additional facilities for drivers in São Paulo

For drivers in São Paulo, the partnership brings even more advantages. BYD electric vehicles registered with 99 will have access to a discount on the portion of the IPVA destined for the Municipality, in addition to exemption from the municipal rotation for electrified vehicles, as stipulated by Decree 58.584/18.

This means that, in addition to saving on fuel, drivers will also be able to save time and money by not having to worry about rotation restrictions.

BYD's goal in Brazil

According to Alexandre Baldy, Senior Vice President of BYD in Brazil and Head of Sales and Marketing at BYD Auto, one of the main objectives of BYD's entry into the Brazilian market is to democratize access to electric cars.

“We arrived in Brazil with the goal of making electrified mobility accessible to all modes of transport in which we can operate, and the partnership with 99 is an important step in that direction,” says Baldy.

The company is investing heavily in expanding its operations in the country, especially with app drivers, who represent a strategic market for the popularization of electric vehicles.

BYD models and advantages in acquisition

The city of São Paulo was chosen as the starting point for the partnership between 99 and the Brazilian Association of BYD Dealers (AssoBYD).

The “Classificados99” program offers special conditions for qualified drivers, who can purchase models such as the Dolphin GS 2025 for R$159.800, with a bonus of up to R$15.000, or the Dolphin Mini 2025 from R$115.800, with a bonus of up to R$9.000.

Other models like the Dolphin Plus 2025 and King 2025 are also available with attractive bonuses, making purchasing these vehicles a viable option for many drivers.

Economic impact on drivers

Thiago Hipolito, senior director of innovation at 99, highlights that since the creation of the Alliance with BYD, several offers have been developed exclusively for the community of partner drivers.

These offers include incentives for the purchase and lease of electric models, which, in addition to being environmentally friendly, can provide significant savings of up to 80% in maintenance costs.

These savings, combined with the subsidy offered, can represent a considerable increase in earnings for drivers who choose to work with BYD vehicles.

The partnership between 99 and BYD not only offers an immediate financial opportunity for drivers, but also paves the way for a transformation in the way ride-hailing is carried out in Brazil.

With electric vehicles becoming increasingly popular, drivers who embrace this change now could be at the forefront of this revolution, benefiting not only from subsidies and tax advantages, but also from reduced operating costs in the long term.
