The Royal Enfield Guerrilha 450 is the brand’s new bet for those looking for an urban, lightweight, and fun motorcycle, but without giving up the famous classic DNA of the Indian manufacturer. Using the same Sherpa engine from the Himalayan 450, the Guerrilha arrives in Brazil with a clear focus on pavement, in the city, and for those who enjoy a more agile riding experience day to day.

In tests, the Royal Enfield Guerrilha 450 demonstrated a well-balanced package: engine with early torque delivery, more agile handling, 17-inch alloy wheels, and comfortable suspensions for urban use. Add to that a complete TFT display, smartphone connectivity, and a pricing strategy designed to compete directly with the Triumph Speed 400 and Bajaj Dominar 400.

What Is the Proposal of the Royal Enfield Guerrilha 450

The story of the Guerrilha begins with the Himalayan 450. Both share the same chassis and the Sherpa single-cylinder engine with 40 horsepower and 4 kgfm of torque, with liquid cooling and a six-speed gearbox. However, in the Guerrilha, this set has been recalibrated for much more urban use, with quicker responses at low revs and a sportier feel on asphalt.

Even with the classic look of Royal Enfield, the Guerrilha 450 is, in practice, an urban roadster with a youthful spirit, designed for those who ride in the city, occasionally hit the road, and want a bike that is easy to handle without the more off-road adventurous proposal of the Himalayan.

Ergonomics, Comfort, and Accessibility

One of the strengths is the riding position. With a lower seat compared to the Himalayan and a lighter set, the Guerrilha 450 is clearly more accessible for riders of different heights.

The two-level seat has good foam density for both the rider and the passenger, which helps with comfort even on longer trips. The handlebars are higher, but not excessively so, allowing for a slightly aggressive position, with the arms slightly raised, comfortable both in the city and in more spirited use on winding roads or even at a kart track.

Another important detail is that the ergonomics allow you to stand up easily on the bike, gripping the tank tightly with your legs. This shows that even being an urban street bike, the Guerrilha inherited some tolerance from the Himalayan for uneven surfaces and light dirt sections.

Sherpa 450 Recalibrated Engine: Earlier Torque and Sporty Feel

According to Royal Enfield, the Sherpa 450 engine has been recalibrated to deliver torque earlier in the Guerrilha 450, with good strength from around 3,000 rpm. In practice, the rider feels this behavior mainly in urban use, with more lively accelerations and less need to downshift all the time.

Even so, the range in which the engine excites the most is around 5,000 to 6,000 rpm, where acceleration is stronger and the bike takes on a clearly sportier feel by the brand’s standards. For those already familiar with the Himalayan, the surprise is positive:
the Guerrilha 450 feels lighter, more agile, and has a more fun engine response, while maintaining the same 450cc liquid-cooled engine and six-speed gearbox.

The gearbox features assist and slipper clutch, with smooth and precise engagement, exactly as seen in the Himalayan 450. This helps both in comfort in heavy traffic and in safety during stronger downshifts, preventing rear wheel lockup.

The only point of attention is the 11-liter tank. In more aggressive riding, the range will not be as high as that of a more economical bike or one with a larger tank. For those considering long trips, it will be necessary to plan refueling stops better.

Chassis, 17-Inch Wheels, and Suspensions

In terms of handling, the Royal Enfield Guerrilha 450 opts for 17-inch alloy wheels at the front and rear. This setup makes a big difference in agility, especially in urban use. The bike changes direction quickly, easily enters corners, and responds well to changes in trajectory, whether in the city or on a tighter track like a kart circuit.

The suspensions have reduced travel compared to the Himalayan, and at the front, the Guerrilha 450 uses Showa telescopic suspension, instead of the inverted setup. Even so, in tests, it did not give the feeling of lacking the inverted suspension in real use, especially day-to-day.

At the limit of sports use on track, the inverted suspension could bring even more stability, but the current calibration balances comfort and firmness well. On bumpy sections, the bike remains comfortable and absorbs irregularities competently, honoring Royal Enfield’s DNA of creating products designed for roads away from perfect asphalt.

TFT Display, Full LED Lighting, and Connectivity

If in aesthetics the Guerrilha 450 maintains a classic look, in the electronic package it is one of the most modern bikes in the lineup. The Royal Enfield Guerrilha 450 comes with a full LED lighting set in the headlight, turn signals, and taillight, reinforcing its contemporary look and safety.

The main highlight is the fully digital TFT display, the same one used in the Himalayan. For Brazil, the brand chose to bring directly the top-of-the-line version with this screen, without analog options like in other markets.
The display is easy to read, simple to operate, and brings smartphone connectivity, allowing the user to mirror Google Maps routes directly on the screen.

For this, it is necessary to pair the display with the Royal Enfield app on the cellphone. The app needs to keep the screen active, which consumes more battery from the smartphone, but the bike offers a USB type C port for charging during use.

This technological package places the Guerrilha 450 in a competitive position against the Speed 400 and Dominar 400, especially for the audience that values integrated navigation and modern aesthetics.

Versions, Colors, Prices, and Direct Rivals

In Brazil, the Royal Enfield Guerrilha 450 arrives as a 2026 model, with versions positioned aggressively in price for the 400 to 500cc segment.

  • Mid version, with TFT display and colors like Pix Bronze and Silver: starting at R$ 28,990
  • Two-tone versions, with combinations like black with yellow and blue with white: around R$ 29,490

According to the brand, these prices already include shipping, and the motorcycles come with 3 years of warranty, which reinforces the cost-benefit in the context of the Brazilian market.

In practice, the Guerrilha 450 competes directly with:

  • Bajaj Dominar 400, which also bets on cost-benefit and versatile proposal
  • Triumph Speed 400, which brings a more premium feel but operates in the same cylinder range

  • Want a motorcycle that is lower, lighter, and easier to ride
  • Value a modern roadster style, with TFT display and connectivity
  • Seek a competitive price in the 400 to 500cc category
