Registrations for Children’s Music Education
Registrations closed on February 12. New students will have practical and theoretical music lessons and instrument instruction. In addition to imparting a new set of knowledge to the students, education in this area also allows for the development of attitudes, values, communicative ability, and social interaction. Children enrolled in the 2nd or 3rd year of elementary school in schools in Betim and Nova Lima will participate. The course will last one year and, due to the pandemic, will initially be offered remotely, through online educational material and videos.
Other Free Courses Offered
The adult choir course is aimed at people aged 18 and older who live in the state of Minas Gerais. The spots are intended for trainees (amateur singers) and for monitoring, aimed at singing students or singers with experience. They will receive a scholarship of up to R$ 850.
The content will also be offered remotely, adhering to social distancing measures. Once in-person activities can be resumed, they will be held in Belo Horizonte.
Registrations will be open until February 19, with classes starting in March of this year.
The Symphony Orchestra course has available spots for instrumentalists and production assistants. Participants must be at least 16 years old and reside in the Greater Belo Horizonte area. Proof of knowledge of the instruments that make up an orchestra is required. The scholarships range from R$ 740.00 to R$ 1,300.
