This week, the Sociedade Artística Brasileira – SABRA opened more than 600 vacancies in free courses in the area of music for children and teenagers, choral singing for adults and scholarships for the Symphony Orchestra. There are more than 700 vacancies distributed in the cities of Belo Horizonte, Nova Lima and Betim.

Registration for Children's Musicalization
Applications closed on February 12th. The new students will have practical and theoretical classes in music and musical instruments. In addition to passing on to students a new set of knowledge, training in this area also allows the construction of attitudes, values, communicative capacity and social coexistence. Children enrolled in the 2nd or 3rd year of elementary school in schools in Betim and Nova Lima will participate. The course will last for one year and due to the pandemic, it will initially be offered remotely, through online didactic material and videos.
Other Free Courses Offered
O adult choir course is intended for people aged 18 or over, who live in the state of Minas Gerais. The vacancies were aimed at trainees (amateur singers) and for monitoring, aimed at singing students or singers who have experience. They will receive a grant of up to R$850.
Content will also be offered remotely, respecting social distancing measures. As soon as face-to-face activities can be resumed, they will be held in Belo Horizonte.
Entries will run until February 19, starting in March of this year.
The programme of Symphonic Orchestra has openings available for instrumentalists and production assistant. People aged 16 and over who live in the Metropolitan Region of Belo Horizonte may participate. Proof of knowledge of the instruments that make up an Orchestra is required. Incentive grants range from R$740,00 to R$1.300.
