Applications are open for the job selection process of the Social Service of Industry (Sesi) and the National Service for Industrial Training (Senai), both in Maranhão, which will go until next Wednesday (21). This initiative by Sesi and Senai aims to hire professionals with a high school diploma and higher to work throughout Maranhão in Sesi and Senai units.

The salaries for the job openings vary according to the position, ranging from R$ 1,100 to R$ 5,711.86. Other openings depend on the working hours, with a variable from R$ 19.16 to R$ 27.31. There will be a total of three selection processes in Maranhão, one from Sesi and two from Senai.

How to Participate in Job Openings

The application fee for the selection process of Sesi and Senai in Maranhão is R$ 70 for positions requiring a high school diploma, and R$ 90 for positions requiring a higher education degree.

The selection process will evaluate candidates for the job openings through an objective and practical test, as well as a job interview. The selection is scheduled for May 2, in the city where the position is offered, for the objective stage. The cities are: Imperatriz, Açailândia, Bacabal, Rosário, Balsas, Caxias, and São Luís. The selection processes will be conducted by the Euvaldo Lodi Institute (IEL).

According to data from the Commercial Registry of Maranhão (Jucema), about 83% of job openings in Maranhão are from small businesses, which generated approximately 16,412 of the 19,753 formal jobs in 2020 alone.

The data is based on the General Register of Employed and Unemployed in the Economy. These businesses create an employment balance nearly three times larger than the employment balance generated by medium and large companies, which totaled around 6,126 jobs combined.

The report also created a ranking of the cities in Maranhão that achieved the highest balances generated by small and micro enterprises. Notably, the capital São Luís stands out with 5,800 new job openings. Following closely are Imperatriz and Timon, with 1,230 and 699, respectively.
