Shineray Brazil unveiled last week another option for electric motorcycles in the Brazilian market. The vehicle, named Shineray SHE E-Jef, features a different, more modern design, with a robust fairing and a front headlight assembly reminiscent of details from Triumph.

The Shineray SHE E-Jef presents a different and modernized silhouette. It is hard to miss on the streets, and this is the main highlight of Shineray’s new electric motorcycle: its distinctive design. As for colors, the model is available in pearl white and red with black.

The new vehicle from the brand promises distinctive details in finishing and greater comfort for the rider. The project focuses on a different audience: while other models targeted workers in delivery areas, the new model aims at motorcyclists looking for an alternative to switch from combustion motorcycles to electric ones.

Some highlights include a fully digital dashboard, disc brakes on the front and rear wheels, and a weight of only 125 kg. However, regarding range and speed, Shineray’s new electric motorcycle falls short.

The power of the Brushless Induction Electric Motor is 3,000 Watts, similar to other models from the brand. However, according to the company, the vehicle only comes with one battery, meaning the total range can reach a maximum of 80 km. The charging time of the battery takes 7 to 9 hours. As for the top speed, the company states that its electric motorcycle can reach 89 km/h.

Electric Motorcycle Focuses On Consumers Who Want To Abandon Combustion Engines

According to Thomas Edson Medeiros, Supply Chain Director of the manufacturer, unlike other models in Shineray’s portfolio, which are aimed at the labor market, the new electric motorcycle is designed for those who want to move away from combustion and embrace electricity with a more robust design. This also demonstrates Shineray’s interest and commitment to increasingly develop electric models. The company was a pioneer in offering electric motorcycles in the country and wants to continue expanding its participation in the clean energy market.

With its numbers, the SHE E-Jef is slightly superior to the current SHE-S, which has a range of up to 75 km and a top speed of 79 km/h. In terms of batteries, the SHE E-Jef uses a set of lithium iron phosphate (LiFePo) batteries with 72V and 50 Ah capacity, providing approximately 3.6 kWh. For comparison, the SHE-S has 72V and 35 Ah (2.52 kWh). Among the standard items worth highlighting are the 17-inch alloy wheels, digital instrument panel, and LED lighting.

Shineray Brazil inaugurated in 2015 the first factory outside its country of origin and the only industrial plant in the country to produce motorcycles outside the Manaus Free Trade Zone.

Located in Cabo de Santo Agostinho, it covers an area of approximately 210,000 m², with a constructed area of 60,000 m². In total, R$ 130 million were invested, and the facility has a total production capacity of 250,000 units per year.
