Lupa Motors Looking for Investors in Brazil
The CEO of the electric car startup Lupa Motors, Carlos Álvarez Córdoba, stated that the company’s models will be produced on a purchased platform, so to speak. As development costs are very high, they will use the general base of a brand, such as the electric base that VW is developing to sell to other companies.
To support the project, which includes a modern and efficient factory in Spain, Lupa Motors is looking for investors in Spain, the United States, and also Brazil, to move the company’s project forward. For now, Córdoba states that there are no state subsidies for his company and says he does not depend on that.
The company emphasizes that the E26 will have the differentiating factor of removable batteries. Thus, it will be possible to swap the pack or sell the car without the batteries to a second owner. The company also wants to invest in the home battery sector.
