The Private Use Terminal
The Terminal area is located within the Port of Açu, one of Eike Batista’s largest ventures, which was controlled by LLX and is now under the control of Prumo Logística, directed by EIG.
Ships docking at the Terminal access through the access channel of the Port of Açu, although loading and unloading operations will be conducted by Brasil Port.
The Terminal has the capacity to handle and store approximately 609 thousand tons of general cargo, 27 thousand tons of bulk solid, and 243 thousand cubic meters of liquid bulk per year.
The main cargo transportation operations are expected to include drilling fluids, cement, pipes, various equipment, diesel, and lubricants. The terminal will also be designated for maintenance and repair of vessels.
Once fully constructed, the entire area is expected to be about 575 thousand square meters.
The location of the terminal in São João da Barra is considered privileged due to its geographical proximity to the most productive oil fields in the country and also has ample space for expansion, if necessary.
