The Average Value Of Car Insurance For The Best-Selling Cars In Brazil Is More Expensive. This Happens After A Sequence Of Declines In Values.
Bad news for those who own some of the best-selling cars in Brazil: the price of insurance for these vehicles has become more expensive. This increase comes after a period of declines, to the dismay of Brazilian drivers.
The data comes from the monthly survey by the online broker Minuto Seguros, which revealed that the policy has become more costly compared to the figures recorded in December of last year.
According to the survey, to arrive at the result, the average prices of the insurance for the best-selling cars in Brazil were analyzed for January of this year, with values corresponding to those practiced in São Paulo.

Car Insurance For Women
In this sense, the survey showed that the Volkswagen Polo Comfortline 1.0 had the cheapest insurance for women. Thus, women paid an average of R$ 1,745 for the car’s policy.
In contrast, the model Jeep Compass 1.3 registered the highest insurance price for women. The average insurance cost for this vehicle was R$ 4,310 in January, meaning it was nearly 2.5 times more expensive than the cheapest policy.

Insurance Prices For Men
For men, the vehicle with the cheapest insurance among the best sellers is the Fiat Argo 1.0 (R$ 2,369). On the other hand, the most expensive is the Chevrolet Tracker Midnight 1.0 (R$ 7,510). Check out the values:

In January, car insurance for men became 9% more expensive compared to December. In the survey, Márcia Camacho, operations director at Minuto Seguros, states that “since the insurance price dropped significantly in December and last year, the increase recorded in January is a market adjustment and not necessarily a trend for the year.”
To arrive at these numbers, 15 insurance companies were surveyed, which provided their prices for profiles of a male and a female driver, both 35 years old and married. The companies consulted: Azul; Alfa; Aliro; Allianz; Bradesco; HDI; Itaú; Liberty; Sompo Seguros; Mapfre; Mitsui; Porto; Tokio Marine; Zurich.
The survey found a disparity between the prices for men and women. For example, in the case of the Chevrolet Tracker Midnight 1.0, for which the insurance cost R$ 7,510 for men, the price for women was R$ 2,694, meaning that males pay nearly 179% more for the policy of the same car.
