PCX has been in the hearts of Brazilians since 2012. But, do you know the maintenance costs, equipment and how many versions the motorcycle has? Find out below!

Launched in Brazil in 2012, the Honda PCX quickly stood out in the scooter market, achieving a leading position thanks to its modern design and advanced technology. The latest version of the scooter, launched in September 2022 as the 2023 model, brought a series of significant improvements that continue to ensure your success. In the first half of 2024, the Honda PCX scooter maintained its prominent position, with 29.300 units produced and 30.558 registered, according to data from Abraciclo and Fenabrave, respectively.

Honda PCX 2024 engine and technology

The latest generation of the Honda PCX scooter features a 160 cm³ SOHC single-cylinder engine, One significant upgrade compared to the previous 150 cm³. The new engine offers a maximum power of 16 hp at 8.500 rpm and maximum torque of 1,5 kgm.fa 6.500 rpm, with a compression ratio increased to 12,0:1. This evolution provides better performance and efficiency.

Equipped with eSP+ (enhanced Smart Power Plus) technology, the PCX 2024 scooter engine aims to reduce internal friction and optimize efficiency. The V-MATIC type CVT transmission ensures smooth and efficient operation. Security has also been improved with the inclusion of the HSTC system (Honda Selectable Torque Control), which limits losses of rear tire traction on low-grip surfaces and can be deactivated by the driver.

Chassis and suspension – Honda PCX

The PCX 2024 scooter It has a double cradle steel chassis, designed to support the greater power of the new engine and offer durability. Total weight in running order is approximately 130 kg. The front suspension is equipped with 31 mm diameter tubes and a 100 mm travel, while the rear suspension features new springs for better absorption of irregularities, also with 100 mm of travel.

Tires are 110/70-14 at the front and 130/70-13 at the rear, providing stability and grip. The braking system varies between versions, with the PCX ABS and PCX DLX offering disc brakes with single-channel ABS at the front and disc at the rear. The PCX CBS version has a combined brake system, with a front disc and rear drum.

Prices and versions of the Honda PCX 2024

The Honda PCX 2024 is available in three versions in Brazil:

  • PCX CBS: starting at $ 16.800, only available in metallic gray.
  • PCX ABS: starting at $ 18.480, available only in metallic white.
  • PCX DLX: for $ 18.910, available in metallic blue with beige seat.

All models have the Smart Key option, which controls the ignition, opening the seat and activates an anti-theft alarm. The PCX ABS and DLX versions stand out for their ABS braking system, while the entry-level PCX CBS model uses the CBS (Combined Brake System) system.

Maintenance costs

Honda PCX 2024 maintenance is designed to be accessible and convenient. The first review must be carried out after a thousand kilometers driven or six months with cost of R$155,37 and free labor. The second inspection takes place every six thousand kilometers and costs $ 332,01, also with free labor. From the third service onwards, parts and labor costs are the owner's responsibility.

In addition to the three-year unlimited mileage warranty, Honda offers a free supply of Pro Honda oil in seven services, starting from the third service.
