The Professional Master in Computer Teaching (PROFCOMP) has opened applications for the National Admission Exam that will select the class entering in 2026.
The process, coordinated by the Brazilian Computing Society (SBC) and executed by FUNDATEC, receives applications from October 1 to 27, 2025, with online exam on November 16, and offers in-person classes in a network of public institutions across the country.
The application fee is R$ 130.

What Is the PROFCOMP and What Is Its Goal
Targeting Basic Education, the PROFCOMP is a stricto sensu, in-person, and simultaneous program nationwide, leading to the title of Master in Computer Teaching.
The proposal is to train teachers capable of developing applied research and innovative pedagogical practices aligned with Computing as outlined in school curricula.
Classes occur from Monday to Saturday, with days and times defined by each associated institution.
Who Can Apply
The announcement states that only public network teachers can apply.
A degree in any area is required, and candidates must be actively working as teachers in Elementary or High School and must continue teaching throughout the course.
At the time of enrollment, the approved candidate must prove their connection to the public network and provide the documentation required by the chosen institution.
National Selection, Remote Exam, and Content Covered
The selection is unified and occurs through an online theoretical-objective exam, administered in a virtual environment with monitoring (proctoring) via video, audio, and screen capture.
The access link and operational instructions are released by the organizing committee according to the schedule in the announcement.
To take the exam, candidates need a computer with a webcam and microphone and a connection of at least 10 Mbps.
The content of the assessment includes Logical Reasoning and BNCC Computing.
The final score corresponds to the sum of the points obtained, and those who do not achieve 50% of the total score will be eliminated.
In the event of a tie, the following criteria will be used: highest score in Logical Reasoning, highest score in BNCC Computing, and highest age.

After approval, enrollment is only confirmed with the completion of the curriculum in the Freire Platform, a system managed by CAPES for monitoring the master’s students in professional programs aimed at Basic Education.

How to Apply (Step-by-Step)
To participate, candidates must access the FUNDATEC page during the indicated period, fill out the electronic form for the PROFCOMP National Admission Exam, attach the required identification photograph, generate the payment slip, and pay the R$ 130 fee by October 28.
On the exam day, it is necessary to use a computer (cell phones or tablets are not permitted), with webcam and microphone enabled, in a quiet and isolated environment, following all security rules described in the announcement.
After the final result is released by the organizer, the approved candidate must follow the official channel of the institution they applied to complete the enrollment, including registration in the Freire Platform and submission of the required documentation for degree, connection and activity in the public network.
