Toyota positions itself to carry out the most significant launch in the history of electric vehicles in Brazil, targeting competitors like Fiat and BYD directly. The Japanese automotive giant, globally recognized for beloved models like the Corolla and the Corolla Cross SUV, is preparing to exceed its own records and introduce an innovation that still seems unimaginable in the market.
Vikram Gulati, director of Toyota Kirloskar Motor in India, revealed that the company plans to introduce electric vehicles equipped with solid-state batteries in the near future.

He also mentioned BYD’s strength, which has surpassed Tesla as the leading electric vehicle manufacturer in the world, but now faces the new challenge posed by Toyota, which is ready to innovate in the segment.
“BYD had surpassed Tesla as the largest electric vehicle manufacturer in the world a few years ago. Now, Toyota is ready to transform the electric vehicle market. Thus, the competition between them remains intense,” Fernandes concluded.
