Japanese brand announces launch of its new model on the Brazilian market soon. Nissan's new SUV delivers great performance, incredible design and a huge emphasis on space and interior finish.

Coming to be a great rival of Jeep Compass, Nissan's new SUV – Nissan Qashqai is expected to be a huge sales success. Last month it announced an investment of R$3 billion in Brazil. All this to launch the second generation of the Kicks with a national turbo engine and its long-awaited new mid-size SUV, a rival to the Compass.

Nissan's new SUV is named Qashqai

As this car in question will be made under the CMF platform, shared with Renault, the model that perfectly meets these requirements is the new Nissan Qashqai SUV, which is in its third generation in the European and US markets.

The Nissan Qashqai, a Intermediate SUV on the international market, surpasses the Jeep Compass in sales, which stands out as the absolute leader in Brazil due to its high sales volume. The Qashqai has dimensions that give it a competitive advantage over the Compass. With a length of 4,43m, wheelbase of 2,67m, width of 1,89m, height of 1,61m, and weight of up to 1.425 kg, it stands out in the segment. Furthermore, the model's trunk was expanded by 75 liters in the new generation, now reaching a total capacity of 504 liters.

The design of the new Nissan Qashqai has been updated to display a strong, sporty personality with a visually appealing aesthetic. The front of the vehicle has a grille with a piano black finish and an elegant chrome strip, as well as an air intake in the bumper and a full LED optical assembly.

On the sides, the model stands out with chrome frames on the windows, two-tone paintwork and 20-inch wheels with a diamond finish. The rear of the vehicle, reminiscent of some Lexus models, includes an integrated spoiler, gray appliqué on the bumper and Full LED lights, completing the SUV's sophisticated design.

New Nissan SUV delivers 190 horsepower

In terms of engine, the new model has three different options. In the most accessible and intermediate versions, it delivers a set that is already offered in Brazil with some models from Renault, This is the 1.3 turbo with direct injection that always runs on gasoline out there. There are up to 157 horsepower and 27,5 kgfm of torque, reaching 0 to 100 km/h in just 8,9 seconds. In this configuration it can also be equipped with all-wheel drive.

In the more expensive versions of Nissan's new SUV there is the E-Power hybrid package, which is made up of a 1.5 turbo gasoline engine that only serves as a power generator, since what really moves the car is the electric motor. There are 190 horsepower and 33 kgfm of torque, its transmission is automatic CVT. With this engine, the model goes from 0 to 100 km/h in just 7,1 seconds.

Robust design and cutting-edge technology

Moving on to the interior, Nissan's new SUV is much more refined and current, now in its third generation, and the finish has also improved a lot. The internal space has been improved due to the increase in wheelbase compared to the previous version.

The Compass rival car accommodates 5 adults in comfort and its list of equipment is impressive, with the highlights being the panoramic sunroof, premium sound system, display, electronic parking brake, autoroad, driving mode selector, among others.

The new Multimedia center comes with a 9-inch screen and in addition to providing all current connections, it also offers a 360º camera system and several others. In terms of safety, the vehicle has lane change alert, eight airbags, traction and stability control, collision warning, autonomous emergency braking and much more.
