LATAM Brasil Has Just Opened a New Registration for a Talent Bank for an Online Selection Process for Cabin Crew, Promoting the Opportunity for People from All Over the Country.

This online process from LATAM has an extensive opportunity for people from all over the country and has made what was once a requirement for languages (English or Spanish) merely desirable and no longer mandatory. In 2022, during this first process of this kind, LATAM received several applications from 21 states in Brazil plus the Federal District, and even reached a historic mark of 31% Black candidates among the other hired crew members.

There are some minimum requirements to be a flight attendant at LATAM Brasil, which are: being 18 years old and having completed high school, possessing a Theoretical Knowledge Certificate (CCT) with an ANAC (National Civil Aviation Agency) code, and also having an Aeromedical Certificate (CMA) valid after 31/12/2023.

Applications for the selection process are open until January 29 of this year at this link. It also aims to meet all vacancies based on the company’s operational needs in the second semester of this year.

How the LATAM Selection Process Works

Since mid-April of last year, the entire process for cabin crew at LATAM in Brazil has been online, ensuring more agility, diversity, and inclusion among the other hired staff. A first in the Brazilian aviation sector, this type of process also allows more people from different regions to access job opportunities in the company. The entire process has undergone changes, such as the foreign language requirement shifting from “mandatory” to “desirable,” allowing for prioritization based on technical competencies and behaviors for the role of cabin crew.

All selection stages will be conducted remotely, regardless of the applicants’ locations throughout the country. Nonetheless, the process includes another novelty, as from now on, the final interview with the manager will take place in the nearest state capital to the candidate, as was the case with the admission exam. The presentation in São Paulo will only occur on the first day of onboarding when the candidate has already been hired.

Currently, LATAM Brasil has over 4,000 cabin crew and talent banks that will be used by the company for upcoming and other hires based on operational needs and the ongoing recovery of the Brazilian aviation sector in the coming months.

The company has been working on various fronts to become more diverse and inclusive. In 2022, it invested in training to raise awareness among all employees about diversity issues, implementing innovative selection processes, and even defining its commitments to Diversity and Inclusion.
