Agrishow 2023, The Most Important Agricultural Event in Brazil, Returns for Its 28th Edition with Expectations to Exceed R$ 11 Billion in Business Generated in 2022.

Scheduled to take place in Ribeirão Preto, São Paulo, between May 1 and 5, 2023, the event expects to receive around 150,000 visitors in an area of 520,000 square meters.

The fair will feature more than 800 exhibitors representing various sectors, including key players in agricultural machinery, equipment, technology, agricultural inputs, storage, irrigation, livestock, among others. Considered one of the most important fairs in the sector worldwide, Agrishow serves as a facilitator for agriculture.

One Highlight of This Edition Is AGCO, Which Announced an Investment of R$ 340 Million to Expand Production Capacity in Brazil by Early 2024

The company, which is a global leader in the development, manufacturing, and distribution of agricultural equipment, includes brands such as Fendt, Massey Ferguson, and Valtra. AGCO aims to concentrate the production of low and medium-power agricultural machinery in Canoas (RS) and high-power machinery in Mogi das Cruzes (SP), in addition to investing in parts storage and in the grains and protein segments.

The Massey Ferguson brand, part of the AGCO group, expects to increase sales by 2.6 times by 2026, without specifying values. In South America, the company aims for growth of 3.7 times, which could increase the brand’s global market share from 19% to 30% by 2026. Over the last three years, the company’s revenue in South America has grown by 230%.

AGCO has over 200 stores across Brazil and, with this investment, expects to track a growth of 2% to 4% in the agricultural machinery market in 2023.

Another Exciting Development Expected at This Year’s Agrishow Is the Participation of Banco Santander, Which Aims to Close Deals Worth R$ 2 Billion During the Event in Ribeirão Preto

The primary goal is to bring producers in to apply for credit before making purchases, as the bank aims to secure deals through a post-fixed rate line, aligned with what the National Bank for Economic and Social Development (BNDES) offers, with interest rates around 7%.

Banco Santander’s portfolio for the sector in March was R$ 40 billion, with a goal of reaching R$ 50 billion by the end of 2023. Ricardo França, regional superintendent for agribusiness at Santander, stated that the bank has already started credit activities for producers, resulting in R$ 200 million in closed deals. Santander is also betting on its consortium model with an interest rate of 11.25% for operations between 48 and 92 months.

The Agrishow is a fair that allows for expanded business opportunities and brings new solutions to the sector, further promoting the growth of agribusiness and enhancing the Brazilian economy.

With significant representation for the agricultural sector, Agrishow stands out as a facilitator for agriculture, bringing together important companies and institutions. The expectations for Agrishow 2023 are high, not only for entrepreneurs but also for the agricultural sector. The fair promises to generate business exceeding R$ 11 billion, surpassing the amount achieved in 2022.
