Additionally, Silvio touched on the collaboration between the two countries to support President William Ruto’s initiative to plant 15 billion trees, demonstrating Brazil’s commitment to preserving natural vegetation as a home to the Amazon rainforest.
The Brazilian trade mission anticipates the participation of around 40 investors and traders who will focus on opportunities for foreign trade and direct investment, organized by the Kenya International Investment Conference (KIICO) from May 28 to 31, 2023.
Objectives of the Partnership Between Kenya and Brazil
Ambassador Silvio committed to strengthening bilateral relations between Brazil and Kenya in a qualitative manner, seeking the economic and social growth of both nations.
The partnership initiative between Kenya and Brazil aims to improve the country’s food security and attract more direct foreign investments, as the region has the potential to become a major market for agricultural equipment and business actions, in addition to being an opportunity for knowledge, technology, and experience exchange between both countries.
With this initiative, Brazil reinforces its position as a leader in preserving natural vegetation and contributes to sustainable development not only in Kenya but also in East Africa.
