The Dutch BREKR has just announced its electric bike with a 250 W hub motor. The model has a range of 75 km and can be a great option for those looking for sustainability and comfort.
A BREAK, company of electric mobility headquartered in the Netherlands, recently announced the arrival of its new electric bike to the market, called the Model F. Although it looks like a motorcycle, the novelty has pedals on board and is in the same category as electric bicycles. The look is inspired by the big brother Model B, an electric moped.
Electric bike with 250W hub motor
The new model has a reinforced main support that runs along its entire length, from the front hub to the rear axle. The back seat is supported by a tube structure. The company also chose to use a custom 22-inch (55,88 cm) rim on the model.
According to the automaker, the 20-inch (50,8 cm) wheels can generally be seen on other e-bikes as too small. Another highlight of the model is its Chinese Bafang 250W hub motor, installed on the rear wheel of the vehicle.

The engine is equipped with a two-speed automatic transmission, i.e. high or low gear, something quite innovative in the segment. The feature is very useful on hills, for example, a situation that depends on more engine torque. The highest gear is also ideal for cruising at higher speeds. Regarding this, due to the Electric Bicycle Law in Europe, speed is not one of the strong points of the Electric Bike.
In order to be able to run legally on European streets, vehicle acceleration is limited to 25 km/h. Despite not having suspension, the company claims that thicker tires deliver a better experience to users of the hub engine vehicle.

In theory, the intention is for the tires to absorb impacts and shocks coming from the road surface. The saddle also has built-in shock absorption, which can ensure greater riding comfort.
The buyer will be able to choose between two battery options, the standard 540 Wh or the 700 Wh unit. The first option offers a range of 60 km, while the second, more powerful option offers a range of 75 km.
Although it did not go into detail, the company claims that under ideal conditions, the electric bike can exceed 100 km of autonomy with just one charge. The launch edition, the Model F Launch Edition, is now available for pre-order for £2.995, equivalent to £16,6 at current exchange rates.
Only 20 units will be manufactured, with delivery expected to start in the third quarter of next year. The first edition arrives soon after, in the fourth quarter of next year, for just 2.945 pounds, the equivalent of R$ 16,3.

The model has thick 26-inch (66,04 cm) tires, making its passage in sand and mud, for example, much easier. For those looking to go beyond the trails, the model also features an integrated 80mm suspension fork.
With an electric motor of 750 W and a power of 1.032 W, the model manages to overcome steep routes with ease.
