New Chinese Pickup Will Soon Arrive in the Automotive Market with a Unique Proposal. The Model, Considered Better than the Rampage and the Toro, Features a Unique Design That Retracts Its Bed, Transforming It into an SUV.

The Chinese automotive industry has stood out on the global stage with launches that break from tradition and bring significant innovations to the vehicle market. Changan, one of the Chinese giants, recently presented its new compact pickup, named K1 e97, which promises to revolutionize the sector and put an end to the sales of models like Rampage and Toro.

Chinese Pickup Features Design Similar to That of an SUV

With a design that transitions between the worlds of SUVs and pickups, the new K1 e07 is a bold bet from the automaker, which is already one of the best-selling brands in China and abroad. The compact Chinese pickup from Changan does not go unnoticed. With dimensions similar to the Ford Maverick, the K1 e07 presents a unique design that includes interconnected full LED headlights and a striking front appearance.

The sides feature active door handles and a roof rack, while the 18-inch wheels add a sporty touch to the model. The rear is where the rival to the Rampage and Toro stands out, with a retractable upper window that transforms the vehicle from SUV to pickup in moments, reminiscent of the CyberTruck.

The new K1 e07 pickup is not just a compact pickup with an eye-catching design; it is also a fully electric Chinese pickup with performance that promises to impress. Although some details have not been disclosed, we currently know that the simpler versions will feature a rear motor producing 388 horsepower, while the top configurations will include an additional front motor, reaching up to 590 combined horsepower.

The range of the rival to the Rampage and Toro is another strong point, with some rumors indicating over 600 km in the top versions and an acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in less than 5 seconds for the dual motor configuration.

New Chinese Pickup May Deliver Cutting-Edge Technologies and Upgraded Equipment

The interior of the new compact Chinese pickup follows a minimalist trend with high-quality finishes. The interior space is generous, comfortably accommodating 5 adults. The equipment list of the model is quite comprehensive, including items such as wireless phone charging, independent three-zone climate control, and a premium sound system. The central 14-inch multimedia system integrates all functions and settings of the K1 e07, in a style reminiscent of Tesla vehicles.

The new rival to the Rampage and Toro is a modern Chinese pickup with a highly futuristic proposal, offering a complete package of safety and driving assistance.

Highlighted features include ACC with stop and go function, lane correction and keeping assist, rear cross-traffic alert, sign reader, animal, pedestrian, and cyclist detection, as well as autonomous emergency braking and a night vision camera.

Can the New Chinese Pickup Arrive in the Brazilian Market?

Although the new pickup does not compete with our compact models, like Rampage and Toro, the e07 is fantastic, featuring all the semi-autonomous driving items that all Brazilians desire, in addition to an air of exclusivity with its retractable bed, turning the pickup into an SUV.

Another point that promises to stand out in the new Chinese pickup is its performance, which, although not yet revealed, will undoubtedly be one of the best in the electric segment.

The model will hit the Chinese market starting in the second half of this year, and its prices have not yet been revealed. In the Brazilian market, it has not yet been confirmed.
