As usually happens, hatchbacks dominate among the 10 most affordable cars in the country in 2024, with the exception of the Fiat Cronos, which stands out as the most economical sedan. The prices of these popular models, such as the Chevrolet Onix, Fiat Argo, Hyundai HB20, and Volkswagen Polo, tend to be between R$ 80 thousand and R$ 90 thousand, and they are also the most sought after in the market.

In compiling this list, we focused exclusively on the most economical version of each model to ensure a fair comparison and avoid duplication. Typically, we would exclude variations in engine types or models that have ceased production and whose remaining stocks are being liquidated; however, these exceptions did not apply this year.
