The Implementation of a New Exam for the Postal Service Has Become a Topic Again in the Institution, Which Held a Meeting This Tuesday (06). On This Occasion, Fabiano Silva, President of the Entity, Highlighted That the Implementation of an Exam Is a Priority for 2024.

According to information from the “g1” portal, the president of the Postal Service met with representatives of the National Federation of Workers in Postal and Telecommunications Companies (Fentect).

On this occasion, these leaders criticized the institution’s delay in holding a new exam. This criticism arises because, since 2011, there has been an impasse in holding an exam aimed at recruiting new employees for the institution.

Postal Service with Few Employees

This delay has caused the Postal Service to have fewer employees every day. Evidence of this is that, from 2011 to now, the total workforce of the entity has fallen from 127,000 to 80,000.

According to the aforementioned portal, during the meeting, union representatives reinforced the idea that, with fewer employees, there is a negative impact on the quality of service and on the health of the employees.

In the view of these representatives, with fewer people, a more stressful working environment is created, which ends up hindering the effective fulfillment of the Postal Service’s responsibilities.

During the meeting, the president of the Postal Service reinforced the idea of publishing an official notice for the institution later this year in 2024. However, on this occasion, he warned that, prior to this publication, it will be necessary to resolve pending issues, including the completion of the new Job, Career, and Salary Plan (PCCS).

Salaries Can Reach R$ 25 Thousand

Currently, there are professionals with a higher education degree who can earn up to R$ 25,1 thousand. This occurs when they reach the final stage of their careers. On the other hand, according to data from the transparency portal, individuals with a medium level can earn more than R$ 11 thousand. See the initial and final salaries:

  • Medium Level Positions Initial (NM01): R$ 2.179,25 Final (NM90): R$ 11.527,80
  • Higher Level Positions Initial (NS01): R$ 6.333,54 Final (NS60): R$ 25.126,53

Benefits of Working at the Postal Service

In addition to the mentioned salaries, Postal Service professionals also enjoy various benefits while working at the institution. Among them are Meal Voucher; Transport Voucher; Childcare Assistance or Babysitter Assistance and Assistance for dependent children with physical disabilities.

Additionally, Postal Service employees have access to extensive outpatient medical and dental assistance for their legal dependents during the probationary period. After the probationary period, they will be entitled to shared medical and dental assistance and a Complementary Pension Plan – POSTALPREV, through the Postal Service Social Security Institute – POSTALIS.

Temporary Employees

As published by Click Oil and Gas, before the official notice, however, the Postal Service is expected to hire temporary employees to fill the staff shortages at the institution. The idea is to hire 770 temporary workers by March of this year.

According to Fentect’s announcement, these temporary positions will focus on enabling activities until the examination for permanent positions is held.

Today, the expectation is that temporary hiring will occur through third-party companies. According to Fentect, the company has set a deadline of 30 days for the respective provision.
