The Post Office will hire, by March this year, 770 temporary employees. These hirings will take place before the state company's public competition, scheduled to take place, as published by Click Petróleo e Gás, still in 2024.
The information was released by the Interstate Foundation of Post Office Workers' Unions (Findect), which revealed that, during a meeting with the company's president, Fabiano Silva dos Santos, the Union Entity was informed that the new vacancies would be filled by March this year.
According to the statement, these temporary vacancies will occur with a focus on making activities viable until the competition for permanent positions is held. Today, the expectation is that temporary hiring will occur through outsourced companies.

According to Findect, the company set a deadline of 30 days for the respective provision. 'We're going to do it', stated the president of the union. Recently, the president of Correios stated that the company would carry out a new selection.
“We started a working group to discuss PCCS. We are going to hold a public competition. I know it is a demand, that you are overwhelmed,” she said. At the time, however, he highlighted that it is not possible to hold a competition without planning.
“This year I am guaranteeing, we will hold a public competition in the company”, said Fabiano Silva dos Santos. Last year, a draft had already committed to addressing the holding of a new competition as a matter of urgency.
To date, there is no forecast for the specific positions and the number of vacancies that may be made available in the next selection, as these details still require analysis by a committee.
About the Post Office
The Correios service in Brazil began in 1663, with its foundation in Rio de Janeiro and the opening of its first branch in Salvador, the then capital.
From the beginning, Correios played a crucial role in dealing with the circulation of official orders from the Governors General of Brazil to the heads of province.
The institution's rapid growth was driven by the growing need for communication in a large country like Brazil.
Initially dedicated to the dissemination of official documents, Correios soon expanded its activities, playing a fundamental role in the mapping of Brazilian public places.
Over time, the service evolved to include the transport of small parcels, unofficial telegrams, court orders and other edicts. It has thus become the main means of communication for many Brazilians, playing an essential role in interconnection and efficient communication throughout the national territory.
