Public Contest at AgeRio Offers Starting Salary of Up to R$ 10,768.50; Applications Close on April 3rd

AgeRio, the Development Agency of the State of Rio de Janeiro, opened on Monday (6) the registrations for its new public competition with 6 vacancies and the formation of a reserve list in various areas.

The selection for the AgeRio public competition offers opportunities for various fields of study, both for the high school and higher education levels. Among the available positions are project analyst, information technology analyst, financial analyst, and technical assistant.

Registrations are open until April 3rd and can be made on the Cesgranrio foundation’s website. The registration fee varies from R$ 70 for high school positions to R$ 100 for higher education positions.

The salaries offered by AgeRio range from R$ 2,826.08 to R$ 10,768.50, in addition to benefits. The objective and subjective tests are scheduled for May 21st. To meet the quota allocation for people with disabilities (PCD), the selection will reserve 5% of the vacancies. The AgeRio public competition will be valid for two years, extendable for an equal period at the agency’s discretion.

Founded in 1985, AgeRio’s main objective is to foster the economic and social development of the State of Rio de Janeiro. Among its collaborators and directors, 57.93% are civil servants. However, 88.89% of management positions are held by members of the permanent staff. This is the first time in its history that the executive board is entirely made up of civil servants.

To apply for the lawyer position, it is necessary to have a bachelor’s degree in law and definitive registration with the respective regulatory body, the OAB. For engineers, it is essential to have a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or mechanical engineering and registration with the regulatory body, the CREA.

The positions of administrative technical assistant and development analyst require a diploma or certificate of completion of a high school course issued by an educational institution recognized by the Ministry of Education, state education secretariats or councils, and a completed higher education degree in various fields, respectively.

The initial salary for the position of administrative technical assistant is R$ 2,826.08, and for development analyst, it is R$ 8,076.38. The areas of work within AgeRio will be communication and marketing, accounting, credit, risk and finance, management, administration and planning, and information technology.

For the positions of lawyer and engineer, a bachelor’s degree in law or civil or mechanical engineering, respectively, is required, along with definitive registration with the respective regulatory body (OAB or CREA). The initial salary for these positions is R$ 10,768.50.

The working hours are six hours a day, for a total of 30 hours per week, for the positions of assistant and development analyst; and eight hours a day, totaling 40 hours per week, for the positions of lawyer and engineer. With this initiative, AgeRio seeks to promote the economic development of the State of Rio de Janeiro and offer job opportunities with benefits to selected professionals.

Among the benefits available to future collaborators of the company are a meal voucher of R$ 1,037.68 per month, a food voucher of R$ 751.67 per month, and a transportation voucher of 4% of the gross salary or the transportation cost (whichever is lower).
