In The Ranking Of 100, Ten Brazilian Cities Are Part Of The Cities With The Longest Average Travel Time. However, Rio De Janeiro Ranks Fourth In The Worst City In The Country And The World That Spends The Most Time On Public Transport. 

According To The Global Report On Public Transport Prepared By Moovit (Urban Mobility Company And App), The Report Conducted In 2022 With Millions Of Trips Highlighted 100 Major Metropolises.

The Ten Metropolises In Brazil That Are In This Ranking Are: Belo Horizonte, Brasília, Campinas, Curitiba, Fortaleza, Porto Alegre, Recife, Rio De Janeiro, Salvador And São Paulo. Initially, This Research Was Answered In November 2022 By More Than 33 Thousand Users From The Cities, With All Data Being Anonymous.

Among The Ten, Three Of Them Ranked Among The Cities With The Longest Average Travel Time, Such As: Rio De Janeiro With 67 Minutes, Recife With 64 Minutes, And São Paulo With 62. Moreover, Recife Has The Highest Average Waiting Time In The Country At Approximately 27 Minutes, While Belo Horizonte Has 24 And Salvador And Brasília Have 23.

According To Moovit, 39% Of Trips In Brasília Cover More Than 12 Kilometers And Are Considered Long Distance. Porto Alegre-RS Is The Only City In Brazil Where More Than Half Of The Trips, Which Correspond To 53%, Are Direct.
