According to the company, this will be Angola’s largest storage terminal and will have an area equivalent to 22 soccer fields, a structural project for the country’s economy due to the need to ensure the maintenance of its strategic reserves of 580,000 cubic meters of liquid fuels (gasoline and diesel oil) and 102,000 cubic meters of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG), enabling an increase in the trade balance.
Construction Works Will Generate Over 3,000 Job Openings
The start of the construction work for Angola’s largest oil and gas storage terminal will be this September and is expected to generate around 3,500 direct job openings.
For Marcus Azeredo, Superintendent Director of OEC for Africa, this type of project is a specialization of the company, which gives it greater competitiveness. “Eight large companies with global operations participated in the tender process, which started in January. Fortunately, we were able to offer the engineering project chosen by the client,” he explains.
