About The Exploratory Blocks Of Oil And Gas Acquired By Eneva
Eneva made the highest bid in a marginal accumulation area in the state of Amazonas and shelled out R$ 43.05 million for four exploratory blocks of oil and gas. There are still 16 areas left to be sold.
Eneva won 100% participation in the AM-T-62, AM-T-84, and AM-T-84 blocks for R$ 16,290,500. The oil and natural gas exploration areas are near the Azulão Field and are already operated by Eneva, with estimated natural gas production starting in the first half of 2021.

In the marginal accumulation area of Juruá, in the Solimões Basin in Amazonas, the oil company paid R$ 25,760,000 and acquired 100% participation in the field, beating the company Imetame, which offered a bonus of R$ 5,693,117.
According to the Development Plan for Juruá, prepared by Petróleo Brasileiro S.A. – Petrobras and approved by the ANP in 2012, the in-place volume of non-associated gas in Juruá is 25.9 billion cubic meters. The signing bonus offered by Eneva for Juruá was R$ 25.7 million.
In the Paraná Basin, located in the states of Mato Grosso do Sul and Goiás, Eneva acquired 70% participation in the PAR-T-196, PAR-T-215, PAR-T-86, and PAR-T-99 blocks, in a consortium with Enauta Energia, which has a 30% participation. The consortium will be operated by Eneva. The total value of the signing bonuses offered for these exploratory blocks was R$ 2.1 million, with R$ 1.5 million net for Eneva.
“The future of the company is centered on this, with options for monetization not only in energy generation but also in the new gas market,” evaluated Eneva’s CEO, Pedro Zinner.
According to him, the company is contributing to the energy transition in the state of Amazonas. In this sense, there is the possibility of replacing diesel generation with natural gas, a less polluting and more efficient fuel.
According to the ANP schedule, the signing of the concession contracts with the winning companies of the auction should occur by June 30, 2021.
