Being the only one to place bids for the offshore block, Shell acquired first-hand the block C-M-757 in the Campos Basin. The oil company disbursed R$ 12.05 million for the area.

Available areas in the Espírito Santo and Santos basins did not receive any bids. In total, 63 companies are registered for the permanent offering.

About the Permanent Offering – ANP

Bids for exploratory blocks offered in the Permanent Offering consist of the sum of the signing bonus (weight of 80%) and the Minimum Exploratory Program (weight of 20%).

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the event will be hybrid: the public session for presenting bids will be in-person, with a reduced number of attendees, and the session will also be streamed online.

There will be 14 sectors of exploratory blocks from nine basins (Santos, Espírito Santo, Campos, Paraná, Amazonas, Recôncavo, Sergipe-Alagoas, Potiguar, and Tucano), as well as two sectors of areas with marginal accumulations from the Solimões and Recôncavo basins.
